During this session your child will be able to:
- Set Clear Goals: Having clear goals will keep you focused and motivated.
- Time Management:Create a study schedule that allocates specific time blocks for studying.
- Create a Productive Study Environment:Find a quiet, well-lit, and comfortable place to study. Minimize distractions, and ensure they have all the necessary materials and resources at hand.
- Active Learning: How to engage with the lessons actively.
- Effective Note-Taking:Develop a note-taking system that works.
- Mind Mapping :Create visual aids, diagrams, and mind maps to help understand complex concepts and their relationships.
- Stress Management:Practice mindfulness techniques and stress management strategies to stay calm and focused during intense study periods.
- Memory techniques: often referred to as mnemonic devices, can help improve memory and retention of information
Canva for Newbies!
Canva is a user-friendly graphic design platform that can help you with various design projects. Here are some fundamental Canva skills to get you started:
- Basic navigation:Familiarize yourself with the Canva dashboard, where you can create new designs, access templates, and find your existing projects.
- Template customisation:Start by selecting a design type or template that suits your project, such as flyers, posters, or presentations.
- Customizing Templates:Use the template as a starting point and customize it by changing text, images, colors, and fonts to match your brand or content.
- Graphics and Elements:Enhance your design by adding elements like shapes, icons, stickers, lines, and illustrations.
- Text Manipulation:Add and edit text in your design. Customize the font, size, color, alignment, spacing, and other text properties.
- Layer Management:Understand the concept of layers in Canva.
- Downloading and Exporting:Once your design is complete, download it in various formats such as PNG, JPEG, PDF, or more, depending on your needs.

- Time Management:Respect your allotted time and practice to stay within the time limit.

- Stay Calm Under Pressure:Deep breathing, visualization, and relaxation techniques can help you stay calm.
